China von Chemnitz is a gorgeous 10 month old Alabai. (Central Asian Shepherd) Are you a history buff?  The Alabai breed is one of the oldest known breeds going back over 4000 years, originally bred to guard livestock in the Middle East and China. China is still a puppy (a big puppy) and may have some growing to do but, with the right person, will grow to be the most loyal and devoted member of the family.  Affectionate and loving in the home, Alabais are great watchdogs and protectors of their people.  She will probably do best in an adults-only household as she is still a bit cautious in her new surroundings and getting comfortable with a variety of new people; she does come up to people she knows.  Possibly housebroken, she is great on her walks and greets other dogs, though she takes things slowly and cautiously before she joins in.  She will take being your most devoted friend seriously and is meant to be with an owner who understands and appreciates all she has to offer.  China needs a home without livestock or cats.
